FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

BARGAIN DAYS : 
We do not have bargain days this year.


CAMERAS AND RECORDING EQUIPMENT: 
Still-photography cameras with a lens that is 6″ or less in length and GoPros without photography stick are permissible.  The following is NOT permitted unless you have written permission from the State Fair Meadowlands Event Director.  Please email mkelly@statefairgroup.com.

  • Cameras with a lens longer than 6” or single-purpose video cameras, Tripods or Monopods
  • Audio and video recording equipment, Battery powered lights or battery packs, Selfie sticks

 

CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES: Please have the parent(s) send an email to micheletee@stfair.com BRIEFLY describing their child’s special need. They will receive a reply within 24 hours


CREDIT CARDS/DEBIT CARDS/ATM’S: 
All major credit cards are accepted at the MetLife Box Office and at some vendors inside the fairgrounds. Debit Cards are accepted at certain locations. ATM’s are located around the Fairgrounds and Information Booth.


DISCOUNTS: 
There are no longer discounts for seniors or Military.


ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULE : 
Show times vary – There is a marquee outside each show. (see tickets & schedules tab for showtimes)


FIREWORKS: 
Scheduled for July 3 and 4 after 10pm; lasting approximately 20 minutes.


FOOD/WATER FROM OUTSIDE: 
NO, similar to the MetLife policy


HELICOPTER TOUR
Daily, weather permitting. Estimated cost is $40 per person, single loop, $50 per person, double loop. This is NOT part of the Fun Pass Unlimited Rides.


OPERATING HOURS:
 Visit the tickets & schedules page for operating hours.


LOST & FOUND: 
All items turned into the Fair Office DURING the Fair will be held in the Will Call Trailer adjacent to the front entrance of the Fair. Any items remaining AFTER the Fair will be sent to the MetLife Security Guest Center at MetLife Stadium.


PARKING IS FREE this year: 
MetLife Parking Attendants will direct you. In their absence follow the digital signage.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: 
Secaucus Train Station has busses and trains that arrive from various points of the NY Metro Area. From there, you must Taxi, Uber or Lyft to the Fair.  You may also go on to njtransit.com and find their Trip Planner; Insert MetLife Stadium or Meadowlands Racetrack

RAIN POLICY: NO WEATHER REFUNDS – The fair stays open rain or shine. However, if there is a severe storm or lightning the fair will close but reopen when it passes. Rides close only in severe weather and reopen once the storm passes


RIDE HEIGHTS: 
All rides have height requirements, which are strictly enforced. Height requirements vary from 30” to 52”; Restrictions are based on height, not age. All rides have height charts; The MetLife Box Office should have a height chart available. Children less than 36” are admitted free to the Fair.

STROLLERS/WHEELCHAIRS: 
The Fairgrounds are stroller and wheelchair friendly. Strollers, wagons, push wheelchairs and motorized wheelchairs are allowed. These items are NOT available for rent at the fair this year.


TICKET TYPES:
Fun Pass Tickets are available only at njfair.com. Fun Pass tickets must be purchased online. Fun Pass tickets include free parking, unlimited rides*, and free shows. Please note that the Fun Pass does NOT include Live Animal Rides or special attractions like the helicopter and Adult Boat Rides.
Fast Pass is a wristband that gives you access to a VIP line at selected carnival rides. Those with a fast pass get on the rides faster. They can be purchased inside the fair at the info booth.


We do NOT have an admission-only ticket this year. The Fun Pass ticket is the only form of admission.
