East Rutherford, NJ –The State Fair Meadowlands opens next month and it’s not too early to start craving the delicious fair food offerings. Hundreds of mouth-watering fare will be available in multiple categories: from fried Oreos to authentic ethnic offerings and beverages. For example, there are more than 185,000 zeppoles; 50,000 corn dogs and over 17,000 bags of cotton candy sold at the fair annually. So, arrive hungry and thirsty! The Fair will take place at MetLife Stadium from June 22 – July 9. Parking is free.

“Delicious food is a fair staple,” said State Fair Meadowlands Vice President Al Dorso Jr.  “Our vendors make everything from the classic fair treats to food creations that stretch the imagination. We have something for everyone’s tastes.”

Fried food offerings range from the perennial favorites, such as fried funnel cakes and Oreos, to fried bacon cheese balls, chicken parm balls, taco balls, deep-fried peanut butter and jelly, and so much more. 

For the adventurous eaters, there are gator kabobs, shark kabobs, alligator bites and even gator mac and cheese. Bacon lovers will enjoy sampling bacon-wrapped meatballs, sausage, corn dogs, chocolate and of course the signature bacon on a stick. 

Hankering for ethnic specialties?  Enjoy a Greek Gyro, served on pita with tzatziki sauce or swap in kabobs or souvlaki for your entrée. Find Italian fare from salads and Stromboli to pizza, pasta and chicken Parmesan and Mexican cuisine. Seafood lovers can dig into platters of beer-battered fish, clam strips, conch fritters, crab cakes, fried calamari and more. 

Don’t forget to leave room for dessert. Sweet treats range from funnel cakes and smoothies and include everything from maple candy, rolled ice cream, Dole whips, caramel apples and Icees to the best soft serve ice cream in the state!  

Healthy alternatives such as delicious salads (Italian and Greek) are also plentiful. There are also ice cold refreshments for every taste, from the fair favorite, freshly-made lemonade, to ice teas, shakes, malts, homemade sodas and more.

The fairgrounds will also feature hundreds of heart-pounding rides and attractions for all ages including the largest Kiddie Land in New Jersey. Spread over 35 acres, State Fair Meadowlands will be open on weeknights from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., (Opening Night, 6 p.m.-12 a.m.) Fridays from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m.-1 a.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m.- 12 a.m. Parking is free every day of the Fair.

 Internationally Acclaimed Garden State Fireworks Returns with Another Dazzling Fireworks Show

East Rutherford, NJ, June 29, 2023 – The State Fair Meadowlands & Garden State Fireworks present a world-class fireworks display July 3rd and 4th. Award-winning pyrotechnic company Garden State Fireworks will be producing the show. Garden State has set off fireworks extravaganzas all over the world with credits including the July 4th show at the National Mall in Washington D.C., Presidential Inaugurations, Walt Disney World, Super Bowl XVLIII, Calgary Winter Olympics and the World Fireworks Championship, Monte Carlo, Monaco, to name just a few.

Free with admission, the fireworks are easily visible throughout the fairgrounds. So, sit back and rest assured you’ll have a great view. Each night, enjoy the choreographed display of pyrotechnics set to moving patriotic and popular tunes. Watch in awe at the wondrous shapes to the American flag in literal blazing glory. Don’t miss the ear-popping grand finale!

East Rutherford, NJ State Fair Meadowlands, New Jersey’s Great Escape, today reveals its biggest lineup of Bargain Nights and special promotions ever. Taking over MetLife Stadium from June 20-July 7, 2019, fairgoers of all ages can experience all the fun, thrills and all the scrumptious food and drinks they can desire while overloading their bellies and heart palpitations, not their budget.

“This is our best Bargain Nights lineup yet and I hope our Fairgoers will enjoy using them to the fullest,” said State Fair Vice President Al Dorso, Jr. “We’ve always strived to give the best values possible. But this year’s promotions will give everybody greater flexibility and even the opportunity to return to the Fair on select nights for free.”

This year’s Bargain Nights and Special Events for State Fair Meadowlands include the following promotions:

  • Preview Night (Thursday, June 20, 6pm-midnight) Not only are gate admission tickets $8 and Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are $22 for all ages, everyone will receive a free admission ticket to return on their choice of June 24, 25, 27 or July 2. Parking is $5 on Preview Night.
  • Dollar Day (Friday, June 21, 6pm-1:00am) Gate admission tickets are $10 for all ages. Parking, games, ride tickets and select food, cost just $2 each. Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps will not be available.
  • Kids Go Free Night (Wednesday, June 26, 5pm-midnight) Gate admission is free for ages 12 and younger and a Child Unlimited Hand Stamp is $20. Admission for 13 & Older is $11 and there is a Combo Admission/Unlimited Ride Hand Stamp Ticket for $30. Parking is free.
  • Cheap, Cheap Night (Monday, July 1, 5pm-midnight) Gate admission for all ages costs $5; An Unlimited Ride Hand Stamp is available for $25 for all ages; parking is free.
  • Fireworks (Wednesday, July 3 (6pm-1am) & Thursday, July 4 (2pm-1am)) Celebrate summer fun and patriotic pride with breathtaking fireworks displays that can be seen anywhere on the Fairgrounds for just the cost of admission; parking is $5.
  • Early Bird Special (Friday, July 5) From 4:30pm-6:30pm admission tickets are $8. After 6:30  admission tickets go to regular pricing, which is $12

In addition to the Fair’s special promotion nights, everybody is invited to attend this year’s NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 Health & Fitness Expo presented by Quest Diagnostics. Taking place at MetLife Stadium June

22 and 23 from 10am-4pm, this free family event will give everyone the opportunity to get free health screenings, ride a zip line, meet their favorite NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 anchors and reporters, shake hands with a New York Giant and much more. AND as a bonus, all Health & Fitness attendees can get free general admission to the Fair! A special hand stamp will be given at the Health & Fitness Expo information  booth at the Expo entrance and the on-field information booth. Free entry to State Fair Meadowlands is restricted to the same day people attend the Expo.

Spanning 18 days, State Fair Meadowlands will be open on weeknights from 6pm to 12am, Fridays from 6pm to 1am, Saturdays from 2pm-1am and Sundays from 2pm-12am. Parking is free Monday-Wednesday and costs

$2 on June 21 and $5 other days and July 3 and 4.Tickets can be purchased at the MetLife Stadium Box Office located at the MetLife Main Gate. Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are available every night, except Friday, June 21.

Tantalizing food and beverages from the finest vendors all over the country wait to be devoured by everybody at State Fair Meadowlands. No matter whether people are hankering to dine heartily (e.g. anything fried, corn dogs, funnel cake) or are looking to eat healthily (e.g. Greek salads, corn on the cob, various vegetables), there’s something for everybody’s taste buds!

Additionally, State Fair Meadowlands is bursting at the seams with its biggest lineup of FREE entertainment and attractions ever. Newcomers to the Fairgrounds include the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, Jurassic Kingdom and Magician Jay Mattioli.
